How long is the Rim to Rim to Rim trail?
Approximately 47 miles (75.6 kilometers) round-trip, depending on your route. Most runners and hikers follow the South Kaibab trail to the North Kaibob trail, and return back up Bright Angel.

What is the total elevation gain?
You’ll climb and descend a cumulative ~10,500 feet (3,200 meters) over the full out-and-back.

Where is the trail located?
Inside Grand Canyon National Park, spanning from the North Rim to the South Rim and back again.

What’s the best time of year to hike or run the Rim to Rim to Rim?
Ideal months are mid-May to early June and late September to October, when the North Rim is open and temperatures are milder. Summer can be dangerously hot in the inner canyon.
